
Sarah Melia Obituary, Death Michigan – Sarah Elizabeth Melia, a beloved wife, mother, and dedicated professional, passed away suddenly on March 6, 2025, at the age of 46. Residing in Chesterfield, Michigan, Sarah was known for her kindness, compassion, and generosity, making a lasting impact on her family, friends, and colleagues.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Peter, and their two daughters, Eliana and Nicolette. She was also the cherished daughter of Joseph and Patricia Sind, and a dear daughter-in-law of Dominic and Paula Melia. Sarah’s passing has left a hole in the hearts of her many family members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Sind III, a loss that has been deeply felt by her loved ones.
A graduate of Regina High School and Wayne State University, Sarah had a successful career in wealth management, serving as the Vice President at Raymond James. She was highly regarded by her clients, not only for her professional expertise but for the personal connection and trust she built with everyone she worked with. Sarah was known for her caring nature and her ability to offer a helping hand to anyone in need, whether they were close friends, family, or strangers.
In addition to her career, Sarah enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly on nature walks with her daughters, often traveling up north. Her love for nature was just one of the many ways she connected with the world around her. Those who knew her described her as a joyful presence, always ready with a smile and a kind word. Sarah had the rare ability to make people feel valued and welcome, and her positive energy was contagious to everyone she met.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, from 2-9 p.m. at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. in Sterling Heights, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass will be held on Friday, March 14, at 10 a.m. at San Francesco Catholic Church in Clinton Township. Her family asks for donations to be made to the Regina Scholarship Fund, the San Rocco Society, or Common Ground in her memory.
Sarah’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on through her family, friends, and the countless people whose lives she touched. Her passing has left a deep sorrow in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
